It comes off for the most part with facial wash and water--this is an additional bonus as I once ended up in the emergency room from a clump of mascara that ended up deep in my eye--incredibly painful! I have very straight lashes and with the exception of the first couple of days of using it, the mascara doesn't pull out the work my eyelash curler does. It is mostly waterproof but not 100%, I don't mind this as it stays on all day, even when my eyes water, but it still comes off when I want it to. I have been using this daily for about 1 year now and cannot imagine switching. Thank you so much for this incredible product! Sent back the first one as it was very dry. Second wasn't much better. Will not use this product any more and am in now searching for a new water proof mascara.
