Decyl glucoside: Decyl glucoside is a plant-derived, biodegradable, non-ionic surfactant. Decyl glucoside is typically made by combining a fraction of palm or coconut oil with glucose. I just tried this out yesterday when I got it, and it was really easy to use. I needed to use a lot of paper towels since there was so much brake dust and residue to remove, but it was effortless and didn't require any hard scrubbing at all. Just spray, let it soak for a couple minutes, then wipe off with a cloth or paper towel.
I don't know how well it stacks up against other wheel/tire cleaners, but it works far, far better than a standard soap/water mixture. Cost-wise, it is far cheaper than choosing the wheel/tire option at the car wash.

I have always been meticulous about how I washed my cars. I recently bought a used Saab 9-5 Aero with an expensive set of 17 inch BBS rims. Since the rims are used I was worried it would be difficult to get them clean. I have tried many products, and have always found cleaning my rims the most difficult due to brake dust and tar from the road building up on the rim. After I rinsed, washed, and dried the car/rims with a sponge, Autoworks car wash, and a shammy (chamois)... I sprayed on the Autoworks rim/tire cleaner to let it settle. After a few minutes I wiped it clean with a paper towel. I was suprised how easily brake dust and tar came off the rim. I have tried much harsher products that I have to use extra "elbow grease" with that ends up harming the finish of the rim. This product did not harm the rim, and it gave it a great shine.

for someone who has cleaned cars for a few years.. I'm sure you've heard of wesleys bleach white. I know not so environmentally friendly.. but honestly. its the best stuff on the market. I did a head to head comparison a few squirts on one front tire of wesleys and a few of this wheel cleaner.. by the time I was done I used almost half of the bottle and still could not get it as clean as wesleys did with only a few sprays..
I hate to bash our own product.. but I'm all about fairness.. if someone has a better product.. lets see it..
on the plus side the nice apple smell isnt so bad..lol
